SPEED UP The Millenium Development Goals Campaign 2009

In 2009, The Art of Living Foundation has launched
'SPEED UP THE MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS CAMPAIGN',
and will focus on taking action on the following MDG's:

Goal #1: Eradicating Extreme Poverty

Goal #2: Achieving Universal Primary Education

Goal #7: Ensuring Environmental Sustainability

Since 2007, the Art of Living Foundation is working together with the UN Millennium Campaign (UNMC) in raising awareness about the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDG)

In 2007, The Art of Living mobilized more than 6.5 million people to Stand Up and read the pledge against poverty.

In 2008, The Art of Living through its Mission Green Earth Stand Up and Take Action Campaign (MGESUTA 08) enabled the plantation of 9.6 million trees in over 36 countries contributing towards the 7th MDG of 'Ensuring Environmental Sustainability'. As part of this campaign, The Art of Living also mobilized more than 10.6 million people to Stand Up and read the pledge against poverty.
