It was created to pressurize the country leaders to live up to their commitment they had made in the Millennium Summit. The Millennium Campaign partners with a wide range of partners at the international and local levels to inspire grassroots movements towards the achievement of the Goals through the citizen's movement. Stand UP and Take Action campaign is a global movement of people no longer prepared to stay seated or silent in the face of poverty and inequality.
